It all began in 1925 when Helen Keller challenged Lions from around the world to be "knights of the blind in the crusade against the darkness."
South Dakota Lions heard the call. In 1964 they formed the Lions Foundation to create a permanent vehicle for development and delivery of programs and services to the visually and hearing impaired.
With over 80 clubs across South Dakota, the impact Lions make in their communities is invaluable. The foundation enhances their work, bringing vision....hearing...and hope.
Where there's a need, there's a Lion.
