KidSight Vision Screening
South Dakota kids deserve the best chance possible to develop and learn, and vision is one of their most important tools. Has the young child in your life had their vision screened to learn if they should have a full eye exam? Lions of South Dakota want to help you make that happen - learn more about our efforts to screen preschool kids or how you can join us.
We serve
Lions help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy. With 70 Lions Clubs in South Dakota, your opportunity to join us in service is right in your backyard.

Make a Difference

As the largest service organization in the world, Lions have a simple mission - to serve. Our reach is both local and global, and there are countless ways you can join us.

Where there's a need There's a Lion.

It all began in 1925 when Helen Keller challenged Lions from around the world to be "knights of the blind in the crusade against the darkness."

South Dakota Lions heard the call. In 1964 they formed the Lions Foundation to create a permanent vehicle for development and delivery of programs and services to the visually and hearing impaired.

With over 80 clubs across South Dakota, the impact Lions make in their communities is invaluable.  The foundation enhances their work, bringing vision....hearing...and hope.

Where there's a need, there's a Lion.
