Vision loss impacts more than just your sight—it affects your ability to hold a job, care for your family, and stay engaged with your community. For those on a limited income, the cost of eye exams and prescription glasses can be an impossible barrier. The South Dakota Lions are dedicated to breaking that barrier for South Dakota residents.

Our Vision Services are supported by a network of more than 60 local Lions Clubs across South Dakota, providing essential assistance to individuals who need help seeing clearly.
- Eye Exams: We help cover the cost of professional exams for uninsured individuals so vision issues can be identified early.
- Prescription Eyeglasses: Local clubs offer financial assistance for the corrective lenses needed for daily life.
- Statewide Reach: The South Dakota Lions Foundation partners with local clubs to ensure resources are available in every corner of the state.
Our primary goal is to provide basic, functional eyewear to individuals who lack insurance or personal funds. To ensure we can help as many neighbors as possible, we do not fund cosmetic or premium upgrades, including:
